This lot features two antique folding pocket knives with mother-of-pearl handle scales. The first is a three-blade whittler style knife with a central metal band across the scales and rounded bolsters. The master blade tang is stamped H. DUNCAN & SONS IMPROVED CUTLERY, identifying it as a product of Sheffield, England. The second is a two-blade pen knife with single-piece mother-of-pearl scales and metal bolsters. Both knives are constructed with carbon steel blades, brass liners, and metal pins. Closed length (top knife): approx. 8.4 cm Closed length (bottom knife): approx. 8.9 cm. Condition: Both knives are in heavily aged, as-found condition. The carbon steel blades exhibit significant oxidation, surface rust, and pitting throughout. The master blade of the H. Duncan knife shows notable sharpening wear. The mother-of-pearl scales show minor surface staining and light wear around the pins. One bolster on the two-blade knife shows advanced corrosion and material loss.
