This vintage open-face pocket watch features a cream-colored dial signed Solar and Swiss. The dial displays Arabic numeral hour markers and a peripheral minutes and seconds track, complemented by blued steel hour and minute hands and a prominent red center seconds hand. Solar was a house brand for the Canadian department store T. Eaton Co. Ltd. The watch is housed in a nickel-chrome case with a fluted crown and swivel bow at the 12 o'clock position. The interior of the case back is decorated with an engine-turned finish and bears the serial number 51960 along with the mark Nickel-Chrome. Diameter: approximately 45 mm. Condition: The watch is in fair used condition. The crystal has a significant crack extending from the edge near the 7 o'clock position toward the 9 o'clock position. The case back shows heavy multi-directional surface scratching. There is visible wear and minor pitting to the nickel-chrome plating, particularly on the swivel bow. The dial appears clean with minor age-related discoloration. The movement has not been tested, and its current working status is unknown.
