A collection of three vintage technical engineering volumes published by the McGraw-Hill Book Company, Inc. The grouping comprises Shafting, Belting and Governors by Hubert E. Collins, and a two-volume set titled Practical Heat, Parts I and II, edited by Terrell Croft. The Croft volumes are part of the Library of Power Plant Practice series. The Collins volume is bound in dark green textured cloth with gilt-stamped spine lettering. The Croft volumes are bound in reddish-brown textured cloth with gilt spine lettering and blind-stamped titles on the front covers. The title page for Practical Heat Part II identifies it as a First Edition, Fifth Impression. The publisher's addresses are listed as 370 Seventh Avenue in New York and 6 and 8 Bouverie St. in London. Dimensions: H approx 21 cm (measured against a ruler). Condition: The volumes exhibit moderate shelf wear, including rubbing and minor fraying at the spine ends and corners. The page edges are significantly tanned due to age. The internal bindings appear stable and the gilt lettering remains legible. No dust jackets are present.
