A collection of two decorative wooden items. The set includes a hand-turned wooden bowl featuring an interior hand-painted decoration of stylized blue and yellow mushrooms. The bowl follows a simple, organic form with the natural light-colored wood grain visible throughout. Accompanying the bowl is a rectangular lidded box with a gold-tone finish. The exterior sides are embellished with embossed foliate and scrollwork patterns. Inset into the lid is a framed color print of pink roses arranged in a cluster, set behind glass. The frame on the lid combines a gold outer edge with a turquoise-painted inner bevel. The interior of the box is finished in gold paint and features an inset mirrored base. Diameter of bowl (measured against a ruler): approx. 18.5 cm Length of box (measured against a ruler): approx. 19.5 cm Condition: Both items exhibit minor age-related wear, including surface abrasions to the wood of the bowl and slight chipping to the metallic finish on the frame of the box. There is minor surface loss to the painted mushroom decoration, and the interior of the box shows light signs of use.
