Charming antique countertop apothecary or utility cabinet constructed of wood and retaining an old dark green painted surface accented with alternating cream and dark-toned drawer fronts. The compact case features a single wide upper drawer above a grid of nine smaller drawers, each fitted with a simple round metal pull, giving the piece strong primitive country character and practical small-item storage. Visible hand-cut or early machine-cut dovetail construction along the case edges adds to its period appearance. The painted surfaces show extensive authentic age and use, including scuffs, scratches, edge wear, paint loss, abrasions, and exposed wood, particularly across the top, sides, and corners.
