Elaborately cast and painted brass wall plaque centered by a high-relief scene of a seated child gathering flowers beneath leafy trees, surrounded by a richly ornamented oval border populated with small putti or cherub-like figures, scrolling motifs, floral sprigs, geometric panels, and additional figural masks at the top and bottom. The surface retains remnants of polychrome decoration in green, red, blue, and ochre tones over the brass, creating an aged, highly decorative appearance with strong dimensional modeling throughout. The reverse reveals the substantial cast construction and later hanging wire. The plaque shows scattered scuffs, scratches, rubbing, oxidation, surface discoloration, and areas of paint and finish loss consistent with age and display. Measures 17.25" x 12.5".
