A striking mid-20th-century ceramic table lamp finished in a warm ivory-white glaze and modeled as a tall bamboo trunk rising from a lush sculptural arrangement of overlapping lotus pads, curling stems, buds, and fully opened blossoms. The deeply molded floral decoration wraps naturally around the trunk, creating a dimensional botanical composition with an elegant Asian-inspired Blanc de Chine appearance, while the broad layered leaves form a substantial square-based pedestal. Fitted with a brass-tone socket and wiring, the lamp displays scattered surface soiling, glaze rubbing, scratches, several chips and small losses along the projecting lotus leaves and flower petals, consistent with age and use. Is working. Measures 40"H x 11.5".
