Large decorative oil on canvas landscape depicting a wooded overlook opening onto a vivid blue lake or coastal inlet, with tall trees framing the composition and a sunlit path leading toward the water. Several sailboats and anchored vessels appear in the distance, while a narrow grassy shoreline divides the foreground water from the broader expanse beyond. Executed with energetic, heavily textured impasto brushwork throughout the trees, foliage, shoreline, and water, the painting incorporates rich autumnal browns, rusts, greens, ochres, and brilliant blue tones to create strong depth and atmosphere. The work appears to bear an indistinct signature at the lower right, though the artist remains unidentified. Presented in a substantial ornate molded frame with gilt and antiqued bronze-toned foliate decoration. The painting presents well overall but has a puncture hole in the canvas, and the frame exhibits scuffs, scratches, edge wear, and scattered chips and finish losses, particularly at the corners, consistent with age and handling. Sight measures 47.75" x 35.5". Frame measures 55.75" x 43.5".
