Large oil on canvas landscape painting, signed Witt in the lower right corner, depicting a sunlit Mediterranean coastal scene with a winding shoreline, blue water, distant hills, and scattered stucco cottages with red-tiled roofs nestled among tall cypress trees and rounded greenery. The composition is arranged in sweeping layers from the foreground hillside down toward the water, creating a broad sense of depth and an elevated panoramic viewpoint. Soft olive and green tones throughout the countryside contrast with the clear blue water and pale atmospheric sky, while the dark vertical cypress trees give the scene a distinctly Mediterranean character. Executed with broad, stylized brushwork and gently modeled forms, the painting has a decorative early-to-mid 20th-century-inspired landscape quality.
