Antique Adlake Non-Sweating four-way railroad switch signal lamp marked "I.C.R.R." for the Illinois Central Railroad. Manufactured by the Adams & Westlake Company of Chicago. Features its original black-painted metal body, vented top, cast mounting base and red and blue bullseye glass lenses. These colored lenses indicated the position of a railroad track switch. The blue glass produced a green signal when illuminated by the yellow flame of the kerosene burner. The top is embossed "THE ADLAKE NON-SWEATING LAMP CHICAGO. The lamp appears to retain its internal burner and chimney components. Measures approximately 19 inches tall to the top of the handle. Early 20th century, approximately 1910s–1930s. Untested. Displays oxidation, paint loss, surface wear and patina appropriate for authentic railroad use and age.
