Vintage Justrite No. 2144-S three-cell electric safety lantern manufactured in Chicago, Illinois. Features a large clear lens, protective wire guard, folding stand and long metal carrying handle. The patent numbers indicate an approximate early-1950s era. These rugged lights were made for industrial, railroad, utility and emergency use; no railroad ownership markings are visible. Measures approximately 11 inches long. Untested. Displays surface oxidation, scratches, finish wear and patina appropriate for its age.
