Antique Adams & Westlake Adlake Reliable railroad lantern with Norfolk & Western markings on both the metal shoulder and clear glass globe. Globe features prominent raised "N&W" lettering. Top bears the Adams & Westlake name and "Adlake Reliable markings. Estimated early 1900s. Measures approximately 16 inches tall with the handle raised and 7 inches in diameter at the base. Features a tall glass globe, protective metal cage, circular wire base and carrying handle. Portions of the frame and reservoir have a gray-painted finish. Metal surfaces show rust, oxidation and age-related wear, particularly on the top and handle. Globe shows scratches, cloudiness and residue. Fuel reservoir and burner are present; operation has not been tested.
