Antique Chicago, Milwaukee & St. Paul railroad lantern with railroad markings on both the metal shoulder and clear glass globe. Features raised globe lettering, a ventilated metal top, protective wire cage, circular wire base and carrying handle. Estimated early 1900s. Measures approximately 15 inches tall with the handle raised and 7 inches in diameter at the base. Metal surfaces show substantial rust, oxidation and age-related wear. Globe shows cloudiness, dirt and surface wear. Fuel reservoir is present; operation has not been tested. Railroad-marked frame and globe make this an appealing piece for a Milwaukee Road collection.
