Vintage Adams & Westlake Adlake railroad lantern marked "S.P. Co." for Southern Pacific Company on both the metal frame and clear glass globe. Features a protective wire cage, ventilated metal top and raised carrying handle. Estimated early-to-mid-1900s. Measures approximately 16 inches tall with the handle raised and 7 inches in diameter at the base. Metal surfaces show substantial surface rust, oxidation and age-related wear. Globe shows dirt, cloudiness and surface wear. Fuel reservoir and burner assembly are visible; operation has not been tested. Matching railroad markings on the frame and globe add collector interest.
