Original vintage railroad hand-signal lantern marked I.C.R.R. for the Illinois Central Railroad. Both the metal frame and clear glass globe carry the I.C.R.R. lettering, making this a desirable matching railroad-marked example. Features a wire cage, ventilated metal top, hanging bail, clear embossed globe, and interior burner assembly. Approximately 15 inches tall with the handle raised. Early-to-mid 20th century, likely circa 1920s-1940s. Displays honest railroad-use character with surface oxidation, finish loss, dust, and wear appropriate for age.
