Antique Adlake Non-Sweating four-way railroad switch signal lamp clearly marked "I.C.R.R." for the Illinois Central Railroad. Manufactured by the Adams & Westlake Company of Chicago. Features a black-painted metal body, vented top, carrying handle, cast mounting base and red and blue bullseye glass lenses. These colored lenses indicated the position of a railroad track switch. The blue lenses produced a green signal when illuminated by the yellow kerosene flame. Interior photographs show the burner and chimney components. The top is embossed "THE ADLAKE NON-SWEATING LAMP CHICAGO.Measures approximately 20.5 inches tall to the top of the handle. Early 20th century, approximately 1910s–1930s. Untested.
