Spanish military Machete Bayoneta Modelo 1964, commonly known as the M1964 CETME bayonet. Designed for the Spanish 7.62mm CETME Model C rifle and also used with the FR-7 and FR-8 training rifles. Cold War era, dating from approximately the 1960s. * Approximately 14 inches long overall * Approximately 8-3/4-inch unfullered bolo-style blade * Black checkered synthetic grips * Rectangular rifle-mounting slot in pommel * Blade marked with an ET-prefix Spanish Army serial number * Toledo coat of arms and INI/Santa Bárbara factory markings * Includes olive-green scabbard with integral canvas belt frog * Retaining strap and snap are present * Black tie cord is attached to the scabbard * Blade has been polished or sharpened and exhibits scratches, finish loss and scattered oxidation * Hilt, grip, scabbard and canvas frog exhibit age, staining, fraying and military service wear This item came from a collector’s estate.
