Avon 5th and 10th Anniversary Plates Set of 2

Two Avon Representative anniversary award plates in fine porcelain trimmed with 22k gold, with original packaging. (1) The 5th Avon Anniversary plate, titled The Great Oak, with a spreading oak tree at center; the printed back is dated Avon 1987. (2) The 10th Avon Anniversary plate, showing the original California Perfume Company building; the printed back is dated Avon 1993. Both backs state the plate is fine porcelain trimmed with 22k gold, created in Japan exclusively for Avon, and both carry the caution that it is for decorative purposes only and not for serving food. Each measures approximately 8 inches across. Condition is excellent, no chips or cracks visible, gold rims unworn; the boxes show light storage wear. Avon began in 1886 as the California Perfume Company and did not take the Avon name until 1939, which is the history the building design commemorates. Sold as-is.
