Woven Splint Basket and Folding Bamboo Basket

Two hand-woven baskets that stack together, photographed with a ruler for scale. (1) A rectangular splint basket woven from natural reed with dyed purple and blue accent bands and two swing handles set into shaped wooden grips, measuring roughly 10 inches long. (2) A collapsible bamboo fruit or bread basket with a carved bamboo root handle and small red beaded accents at the joints; it folds flat and opens to about 10 inches across. The original consignor listing gave this as one basket with a folding fan insert, which the photos do not support - these are two separate baskets that simply nest. Both are in good condition with light soiling and a few fuzzy fibers along the splints, no broken weavers and no missing handles. Reed and bamboo baskets like these are used for pantry storage, bread and fruit service and farmhouse decor, and the folding one stores flat between uses. Sold as-is.
