Avon 2001 Honor Society Albee Teacup Set

Avon Honor Society 2001 Mrs. P.F.E. Albee commemorative teacup and saucer in porcelain, complete in the original box. Both pieces are painted with lilacs and yellow roses around a medallion portrait of Mrs. P.F.E. Albee, Avon's first Representative, and both are gold edged; the enclosed welcome card describes the edging as 18k gold. The box bottom reads Made in Indonesia for Avon Products, Inc. Distributor, copyright Avon 2001, FSC number 73575-1. Also present are the round mahogany-finish wooden display base with felt-lined recess, hanging hole and a sealed bag of mounting hardware, plus the Honor Society welcome card. The saucer measures about 5.5 inches, the cup about 4.5 inches across the rim, the base about 6 inches. The consignor listing described the base as engraved 2001 Honor Society; the photos show a plain base with no engraving or nameplate visible. Condition is excellent and unused, still in factory wrap, with light shelf wear to the box. Honor Society awards were earned on annual sales and never sold, so complete boxed examples are the ones collectors want. Sold as-is. Photos are the most accurate description of this lot.
