Avon 1994 Honor Society Albee Teacup Set

Avon Honor Society 1994 Mrs. P.F.E. Albee commemorative teacup and saucer in porcelain with heavy gold decoration, complete in the original box. The octagonal saucer and matching octagonal footed cup are printed with peach roses and green foliage around a gold-framed medallion portrait of Mrs. Albee, set inside a wide band of gold scrollwork; the cup handle is fully gilded. The saucer back reads Created Exclusively for the Avon Honor Society, Avon 1994, All Rights Reserved, and the box is marked Made in Japan, FSC 0769-1, copyright Avon 1994. Included are the box with molded foam liner, the round mahogany-finish wooden display base with a brass band engraved 1994 Honor Society, and a sealed bag of hardware. The base measures about 5.5 inches across and the saucer approximately 6 inches. Condition is excellent and unused, no chips or cracks visible; the box lid carries a crease across the top and light shelf wear. This china was earned on annual sales rather than sold, so production was limited to that year's qualifiers. Sold as-is. Photos are the most accurate description of this lot.
