Group of fifteen small brass and iron pieces out of an old farm and household collection, largely early to mid 20th century. Included are a brass candle snuffer with a turned ring handle, a standing brass horse figure, a cylindrical brass vessel with a dark patinated interior, six small bells (a plain brass bell with a ring top, an engraved brass bell with a hook, a small bronze bell and three riveted sheet metal cowbells), a larger rusted iron cowbell with a strap loop, a small brass bell with a bent iron strap, a steel pulley with an eye hook, a steel float with a red painted handle, and a large steel blanket pin with a stamped shield emblem that is not legible in the photos. Of most interest is the aluminum finger ring twine knife stamped HANDY TWINE KNIFE CO UPPER SANDUSKY OHIO, the hooked blade a farmer wore on one finger to cut baling twine. Condition is good for age, with tarnish on the brass and heavy surface rust on the sheet metal cowbells. Not tested for function. Sold as-is. Photos are the most accurate description of this lot. Written descriptions are a guide only and may contain errors. Please review all photos before bidding.
