Galvanized steel watering can of the traditional oval bodied form, with ribbed banding around the body, a long soldered spout fitted with a removable perforated sprinkler head, a swing bail carrying handle over the top and a fixed strap handle at the back for pouring. A ruler in the photos puts the body at roughly 9 inches to the rim and about 12 inches to the top of the raised handle. A faint embossed daisy and leaf motif shows on one side, a nice touch on an otherwise plain working can. The zinc coating has weathered to a soft gray and there is orange surface rust along the bottom rim, around the handle mounts and on the spout seam, but no holes or splits are visible and both handles are sound. Condition is good for a used garden can of this age. It displays well as farmhouse decor or as a sleeve for a potted plant. Not tested for holding water. Sold as-is.
