Group of roughly eighteen vintage measuring tools plus one small kitchen scale. The wooden pieces include three boxwood and brass folding rules with the classic brass hinges and end caps, the longest opening to 36 inches. Advertising rules include a two-part orange and red plastic rule reading to 36 inches for Clark Enterprises, New and Used Office Furniture, Tulsa; a brass folding 12 inch rule stamped Compliments Of Your Ben Franklin Store; and a white plastic 7 inch ruler for Hancock Fabrics and Minnesota Fabrics. The steel pieces include a folding Lufkin rule from Saginaw, a General No. 309-N tempered steel rule made in USA, several plain machinist rules with sliding depth clips, a small brass T-slot depth gauge, a Mechanics Choice Handyman's Genie standard screw gauge, and a wedge-shaped Security taper gauge. Also present are a spring outside caliper about 12 inches long with a knurled adjusting screw, and a Pelouze Trimaway Dietetic Scale, Model TA-1, Evanston, Illinois, reading to 450 grams and 16 ounces on a white painted metal housing with a brass weighing pan. Old advertising rules are collected as much for the local business names as for the tool. Condition varies from good to fair, with surface rust on the caliper and steel rules, soiling and finish wear on the wooden rules, and paint chipping on the scale. Not tested for function.
