Lot of 8 Souvenir Thimbles Porcelain and Metal

Eight collectible thimbles, mostly souvenir pieces in porcelain with two in metal. (1) Blue painted thimble from Nova Scotia and Cape Breton with a sailboat, seagull, and lobster in raised relief. (2) Porcelain thimble printed with pink roses and a gold band, housed in a black plastic display case lettered THIMBLE with a hanging loop. (3) Key Largo porcelain thimble with a shell and fish design. (4) Niagara Falls porcelain thimble with a gold band. (5) Honduras porcelain thimble with a beach scene and gold band. (6) Pewter tone metal thimble with a raised scene around the band and a floral crown. (7) Small brass tone metal thimble with ENGLAND stamped on the band. (8) Cobalt blue thimble decorated with an American flag and lettered Mammoth Cave, Kentucky. Each stands about one inch tall. Souvenir thimble collecting has been a steady hobby since the 1970s, and travel sets like this one are how most collections start. No chips or cracks are visible; the porcelain pieces have light soiling with a few small dark flecks, and the metal pieces are dull with light tarnish. Condition is very good. Sold as-is.
