A set of four silver plated dessert cups produced by the Spanish manufacturer Primrose. Each cup features a wide, shallow bowl embellished with an etched Greek key meander border. The bowls are supported by cast figural stems depicting a young boy or putto reaching towards a grapevine. The pieces stand on pierced circular bases decorated with a design of fruiting vines and foliage. The underside of the base rim is stamped with the marks PRIMROSE, PLATE E.P., and BRASS SPAIN, indicating an electro-plated silver finish over a brass base metal. Height approx. 10.7 cm. Condition: The cups exhibit significant and heavy iridescent tarnish across all surfaces, showing a range of blue, purple, and gold tones. The underlying silver plating appears largely intact with no visible structural damage, dents, or repairs.
