A pair of matching silver-plated candlesticks. Each piece features a flared nozzle above a faceted shoulder, leading down to a tapering four-sided column stem. The columns are mounted on flared, stepped octagonal bases with radiating fluted decoration. The underside of the base rim is stamped with a diamond-shaped mark containing the letters BP above the pattern number 2433. A further stamp for ANTIMONY LEAD is present, identifying the base metal alloy. The maker attribution is unconfirmed and requires a recheck. Height approx. 28 cm (measured against a ruler). Condition: The candlesticks exhibit heavy surface tarnish and oxidation throughout. The silver plating shows significant wear and thinning, particularly on the nozzles, column edges, and raised areas of the fluted bases, where the darker base metal is visible.
