Autographed 1989 TV Sports Mailbag #20 Duke Snider MLB Hall Of Fame Induction 8X10 Stat Sheet (Limited Edition Of 1000). A limited edition commemorative piece honoring one of the greatest center fielders and most beloved figures in Dodgers history and limited to just 1,000 examples. The display celebrates Snider's induction into the National Baseball Hall of Fame with classic imagery and a presentation of his remarkable career statistics, while Snider has personally signed the piece, creating an especially appealing Hall of Fame collectible connected to the legendary "Duke of Flatbush." Snider spent the overwhelming majority of his 18 season Major League career with the Brooklyn and Los Angeles Dodgers, becoming one of the defining stars of the franchise's golden era and a central figure in the celebrated New York center field rivalry alongside Willie Mays and Mickey Mantle. A fearsome lefthanded power hitter, Snider finished his career with 2,116 hits, 407 home runs, 1,333 RBI and a .295 lifetime batting average, earned eight All Star selections and remarkably belted 40 or more home runs in five consecutive seasons from 1953 through 1957. He helped lead Brooklyn to six National League pennants and played in six World Series with the Dodgers, including the franchise's unforgettable 1955 World Series championship over the New York Yankees, the first and only championship won by the Dodgers while in Brooklyn. Snider was particularly formidable on baseball's biggest stage, hitting 11 career World Series home runs, and remains one of the most iconic players associated with historic Ebbets Field. He was elected to the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 1980, while his celebrated No. 4 was retired by the Dodgers that same year. Snider passed away in 2011 at the age of 84, permanently limiting the supply of authentic material signed during his lifetime. Combining a Duke Snider autograph, limited edition production of only 1,000, Hall of Fame commemorative presentation and the legacy of a Brooklyn Dodgers icon, World Series champion and one of the legendary center fielders of his generation, this impressive piece represents a tremendous addition to any Duke Snider, Dodgers, Hall of Fame or advanced baseball autograph collection.
