Autographed 1989 TV Sports Mailbag #11 Sandy Koufax MLB Hall Of Fame 8X10 Stat Sheet (Limited Edition Of 1000) (JSA Authenticated) (JSA Certification: CS00430). A limited edition commemorative piece honoring one of the most dominant pitchers in Major League Baseball history and limited to just 1,000 examples. The display celebrates the legendary Los Angeles Dodgers lefthander with classic imagery and a presentation of the extraordinary career statistics that established Koufax as one of baseball's true inner circle immortals. Koufax has personally signed the piece, with the autograph authenticated by James Spence Authentication (JSA), Certification #CS00430, providing important third party assurance for an autograph that has long been highly prized by baseball collectors. Koufax spent his entire 12 season Major League career with the Brooklyn and Los Angeles Dodgers from 1955 through 1966, compiling a 165 and 87 record, 2.76 ERA, 2,396 strikeouts and 40 shutouts. His relatively brief career included one of the most extraordinary peaks ever achieved by a pitcher, as Koufax captured three Cy Young Awards, the 1963 National League MVP Award, five consecutive ERA titles and four World Series championships, while earning World Series MVP honors in both 1963 and 1965. He threw four no hitters, culminating with his legendary perfect game against the Chicago Cubs on September 9, 1965, and in his final season produced a remarkable 27 wins, 317 strikeouts and a 1.73 ERA before chronic arm problems forced his retirement at only 30 years old. Koufax was elected to the National Baseball Hall of Fame in his first year of eligibility in 1972, becoming at the time the youngest player ever inducted at just 36 years old.
