A Hafner Manufacturing Company O-gauge lithographed tin train set. The group includes a clockwork-driven 1010 streamlined locomotive with a fixed winding key and internal bell, a matching coal tender, a silver-toned hopper, an ATSF 4825refrigerator car, and a Chicago & Northwestern caboose. Various pieces bear the printed maker mark HAFNER or HAFNER TRAINS. Construction consists of tab-and-slot assembly with lithographed graphic details throughout. The set is in fair-to-good played-with condition. Widespread surface scratches and play-related paint loss are visible across all components (photos 1, 2). Significant paint wear and oxidation.
