This set of four S-gauge passenger cars features extruded aluminum bodies with die-cast metal vestibule ends, an observation nose, and interior silhouette strips. Side nameplates are printed with AMERICAN FLYER LINES, and chassis undersides are stamped with THE A. C. GILBERT CO. and NEW HAVEN, CONN. The group includes baggage, coach, dome, and observation models 660 through 663, without original boxes. Scuffs and scratches are visible across the aluminum surfaces (photo 1). The die-cast end caps and observation car nose exhibit oxidation and pitting (photo 5). The plastic vista dome on car 662 is yellowed and cloudy (photo 2). Surface rust is present.
