Artist: A. Woo ’69” lower right Inscription: Titled “33rd & Heather” lower left; inscribed “Etching 2/3 S.E.” lower centre The composition combines figurative imagery with an almost surreal, highly personal approach to the cityscape. Dense stippling and etched line create the darkened sky and figure, contrasting with the deliberately sparse architectural forms behind her. The handwritten title “33rd & Heather” is especially interesting. The intersection of West 33rd Avenue and Heather Street is in Vancouver, British Columbia.
