A loose group of Bicentennial quarters, the 1776-1976 dual dated issue whose drummer boy reverse marked the nation's 200th birthday. These are clad and hold no silver; the 40 percent silver Bicentennial quarters came only in San Francisco collector sets, and no S mint coin was seen here. The pile is not all Bicentennial: at least one 2000 Massachusetts state quarter is mixed in, clearly readable in the close-ups. The lot was shot only as a heap, so the count of 40 cannot be verified. Roughly 40 appear present, coins are stacked and hidden, and the balance cannot be confirmed from the photos. Most are better than average for a bulk lot, many with full satin luster and sharp drummer detail, the rest circulated grey with scattered grime. One quarter carries red and pink coloring across the drummer's hat, arm and the lower left stars, with a small bright green spot beside E PLURIBUS UNUM. That piece is a novelty: the color is not original, it hides design detail, and its value is the metal. Estimated Value: $9 to $14. Sold as-is. Photos are the most accurate description of this lot.
