Maltby, Curtis & Co. Model Chieftain Revolver

Serial # 2545. Approx. .30 RF caliber spur trigger revolver with a 2-1/2” octagon barrel. The bore is fair with moderate pitting. Maltby, Curtis & Co. was a mail order catalog, the pistol was made by Norwich Pistol Co. The nickel finish on the barrel and the 5 shot cylinder is in very good condition showing scattered light scratches with scattered spot sof light rust. The nickel finish on the frame would be very good as well, but there is heavy corrosion pitting behind the hammer. The checkered black plastic grips are in very good condition, no cracks or chips. The action works fine. Made from 1875-1881.
