Serial # NSN. .43 Spanish (?) caliber single shot rifle with a 20-1/2” barrel. The bore is fair, mostly clean with good rifling with roughness and light pitting. Sling bar and saddle ring on the let side of the receiver. The upper tang has a 3-line Remington address marking that is mostly illegible. The metal finish on the barrel is mostly a brown patina showing edge wear and thinning with dings and scratches. The barrel shows heavy wear. The metal finish on the receiver, trigger guard and butt plate is mostly a brown patina showing edge wear, scratches and scattered light rust. There is a number electro-etched on the lower tang. The axis pins are heavily dinged on the right side. The plain walnut forearm is in fair good condition showing scattered dings with finish wear. The plain walnut stock is in poor to fair condition with a large gouge on the right side as well as several stress cracks. Small military ladder rear sight. The action works fine. The caliber must be verified before any attempt at firing.
