Serial # 301414B. .44 W.C.F. (.44-40 Win.) caliber lever action rifle with a 20” round barrel. The bore is good to very good, mostly clean with strong rifling with some scattered light pitting. Made in 1889. Full length tubular magazine with a saddle ring attached to the left side of the receiver. Type 3 receiver with the machined dust cover rail. The metal finish on the barrel, magazine tube, receiver and lever is worn to a bare gray patina showing scattered light dings, scratches and some older remnant rust. The barrel markings are legible. The brass lifter is dull; there are no markings visible. The plain walnut stock and forearm are in good condition showing scattered light dings and scratches with finish wear. There is a small sliver of wood missing from the nose of the forearm and there are cracks at the upper and lower tang. Original front and ladder rear sights. The steel crescent butt plate with trapdoor is a worn dark gray patina with scattered patches of older cleaned rust. The action works fine. Please see the photos to get a better idea of condition.
