Serial # NSN. .32 caliber percussion fired rifle with a 36” heavy octagon barrel. The bore is good with strong rifling with very light rust. The lock plate markings are illegible. The barrel is marked with the script initials “AL”. Double set triggers. The metal finish on the barrel is a worn brown patina showing thinning, dings and scratches. The lock plate and hammer are a rusty brown patina. Notch rear sight and brass blade front sight dovetailed into the barrel. Brass butt plate, patch box, side plate, trigger guard and nose cap. The full-length maple stock is in fair condition showing scattered light marks with light finish wear. There are large slivers of wood missing from the barrel channel with several cracks around the action. There are stress cracks along the forearm. There is a cotter pin through the nose of the forearm. The action seems to work OK, but the nipple is missing. Includes a wood ramrod.
