Serial # 41476. .36 caliber black powder percussion single action revolver with a 7-1/2” octagon barrel. The bore is fair, dirty with visible rifling and moderate pitting. Appears to be an original 1851 Navy made in 1855. The blued metal finish on the barrel and loading lever assembly is a cleaned bare metal that has been polished. There is remnant pitting visible. The barrel markings are legible. The blued metal finish on the cylinder is also polished to bare metal with some remnant pitting visible. The markings are worn off except for the S/N which may have been re-stamped. The metal finish on the frame and steel grip frame has been cleaned to bare metal showing some scattered light pitting. The left side markings are visible. The hardwood grips are in very good condition showing light marks with finish wear. The barrel frame, trigger guard, cylinder and grip frame are all matching, the barrel wedge is mis-matched. The action works fine. One of the barrel group alignment pins is broken off and the barrel wedge retainer screw is stripped.
