A sterling silver salt cellar by Henry Birks & Sons, of circular form with a stepped, flared pedestal base and a domed, fitted lid featuring a knop finial. The pot is designed with a side notch in the lid to accommodate a spoon handle and is fitted with a removable cobalt blue glass liner. The set is accompanied by two small condiment spoons of differing designs. The underside of the base is stamped with the marks STERLING and BIRKS (recheck maker and origin). Height: approx. 5.4 cm (measured against a ruler) Diameter: approx. 5.7 cm (measured against a ruler) Weight of silver components: 35 g (measured on a digital scale). Condition: The silver components exhibit significant surface tarnish and oxidation throughout. The cobalt blue glass liner appears to be in good condition, free of visible chips or cracks. The pot, lid, and spoons are structurally sound.
