A collection of five sterling silver souvenir spoons featuring national and commemorative themes from the United Kingdom and Canada. The first spoon, representing Scotland, features a decorative terminal with an enamel shield depicting a red rampant lion on a gold ground with a blue banner inscribed SCOTLAND. The stem is cast with thistle motifs. The reverse is stamped with a maker's mark, a thistle, a lion rampant, and a date letter (hallmarks unconfirmed, recheck). The second spoon, representing Wales, has an enamel terminal in the form of a yellow and white daffodil. The bowl is hand-engraved Wales. The reverse is stamped MADE IN ENGLAND with a maker's mark, an anchor, a lion passant, and a date letter (hallmarks unconfirmed, recheck). The third spoon is of First World War interest, featuring a cast terminal in the form of a soldier in uniform on a pedestal. The stem is decorated with a maple leaf and a banner inscribed CANADA. The heart-shaped bowl is engraved with the lyrics IT'S A LONG LONG WAY TO TIPPERARY BUT MY HEART'S RIGHT THERE amongst floral sprays. The reverse is stamped STERLING. The fourth spoon features an enamel shield terminal topped with a crown, depicting the Canadian coat of arms. The stem is embossed vertically with CANADA and the bowl is engraved ST CATHARINE. The reverse is stamped STERLING with a circular maker's mark (attributed to Ellis Bros, recheck). The fifth spoon features a heart-shaped enamel terminal topped with a crown, depicting a scenic view of Niagara Falls. The bowl is engraved Niagara Falls. The reverse is stamped STERLING BMCO MADE IN CANADA for the Breadner Manufacturing Co. Weight: 45 g Length: approx. 10 cm - 11.5 cm. Condition: The spoons are in good vintage condition. The enamel remains intact across all pieces with vibrant colours. Minor surface scratches and natural tarnish are present throughout, consistent with age and handling.
