A single mid-20th century rectangular cigarette box of presentation form, featuring a hinged lid and wood-lined interior. The lid is professionally engraved with a maritime dedication reading: WITH BEST WISHES / — TO — / W.F. BENNETT. / — FROM — / BILL HARKNESS. | CHAS DAWICK. / PURSER. | CHIEF STEWARD. The interior is lined with light-coloured wood, typically cedar, and the base features an inset wooden panel. Dimensions measured against a ruler: L approx. 12.7 cm x H approx. 5.4 cm (read from inch scale). 290 GRAMS TOTAL WEIGHT Condition: The exterior shows heavy surface tarnish and general patination with scattered fine scratches consistent with age and use. The wooden interior is in good order with light wear and some adhesive residue to the underside of the lid. The hinge is original and operational.
