A circular loose powder compact featuring a wide, domed outer rim in pea-green plastic. The central lid and base are constructed from gold-toned metal. The lid features a central circular cloisonne enamel medallion with two stylised profile heads facing a central torch, surmounted by the name VALAZE in an arched format against a turquoise blue ground. The interior contains a circular mirror set into the lid and a metal-lined powder well with a mechanical sifter operated by a thumb-wheel mechanism. The reverse green rim is incised with the cursive signature Helena Rubinstein and MADE IN U.S.A. Diameter approx. 6.4 cm (measured against a ruler). Condition: The item is in fair vintage condition. The metal lid and base exhibit significant oxidisation, tarnishing, and surface scratching. The enamel medallion shows loss of finish to the central area. The interior mirror displays foxing and silvering loss around the perimeter. The green plastic rim remains in generally good condition with minor surface wear consistent with age.
