A boxed set of tea or dessert knives manufactured by the Sheffield cutlers H. Wood & Co. Each knife is constructed with a stainless steel blade and a cream to butterscotch-coloured synthetic handle. The blades are etched with the maker's mark reading CUTLERS H. Wood & Co SHEFFIELD ENGLAND and STAINLESS STEEL. The set is contained within its original presentation box, which features a green and blue tartan plaid exterior and a yellow slotted interior. Blade width: approx. 1.9 cm (measured against a ruler). Condition: The set is in good vintage condition. The stainless steel blades show light surface scratches consistent with age and use. There is noticeable oxidation and darkening to the metal bolsters at the junction with the handles. The handles are in good order, displaying a varied aged patina. The presentation box shows general shelf wear and minor scuffing to the exterior.
