A mid-century vintage portable electric lamp manufactured by Silverware Products (Canada) Ltd. The fixture features a cylindrical white milk glass shade mounted within a brass-toned metal frame, finished with decorative scalloped leaf-motif galleries at each end. The reverse is equipped with two curved, beige plastic-coated mounting hooks, suitable for use as a picture light or headboard lamp. The lamp is fitted with a vintage brown two-core power cord, a North American two-prong plug, and a black rotary power switch located on one end cap. An original manufacturer's label is affixed to the reverse, reading CSA PORTABLE ELECTRIC STANDARD L.L.2405 S.7 LAMP SILVERWARE PRODUCTS (CANADA) Ltd. APPROVED - CANADIAN STANDARDS ASSOC. Dimensions (measured against a ruler): Length approx. 29 cm, Depth approx. 10 cm, Shade diameter approx. 6.5 cm. Condition: The metal housing exhibits age-consistent wear, including surface scratches, scuffs, and visible oxidation and tarnishing. The milk glass shade appears in good condition with no apparent chips or cracks, showing only minor surface grime. The electrical components are of vintage origin; for safety, the unit must be inspected and tested by a qualified electrician before use and will require adaptation or rewiring for the UK mains supply.
