A Georgian period spirit decanter crafted from clear hand-blown flint glass. The vessel features a tapered mallet-shaped body leading to a wide, flared rim. The neck is decorated with three applied annular collars, a design intended to provide a more secure grip during use. The base exhibits a ground and polished-out pontil mark. The decanter is fitted with a non-original, utilitarian metal plug stopper wrapped in leather or heavy fabric. Dimensions (measured against a ruler): Height approx. 11.5 inches, Diameter approx. 4 inches. Condition: The glass remains in good structural condition with no visible chips or cracks. There is noticeable internal residue and cloudiness, especially towards the base and within the decorative neck rings. Light surface scratching is present on the underside of the base, consistent with age and domestic use. The metal and leather stopper is a later, non-original replacement.
