Agate Geode Pendant on 925 Silver Chain

Agate geode pendant necklace. The pendant is a natural geode section, pale blue gray and cream in color, with a rough drusy crystal pocket across the upper face and a banded, wavy outer edge. It is held by six silver colored prongs with crossed bands across the back and hangs from a wide flat bail. The bail is stamped 830, a European silver standard meaning 83 percent pure silver, seen most often on older Scandinavian and German pieces. The chain is a flat herringbone style, silver colored, closing with a spring ring clasp, and the small tag at the clasp is stamped 925, meaning sterling silver at 92.5 percent pure. The two parts of this necklace carry two different silver standard marks. Condition is good, with tarnish on the chain and on the bail, a clasp that opens and closes properly, and a geode that is solid with no cracks visible.
