Enamel Clam Shell Locket Dangle Earrings

One pair of vintage figural clam shell dangle earrings that open like a tiny locket. Each earring hangs from a gold colored fish hook ear wire, then a faceted emerald green glass bead, then the clam shell drop. The shell is white enamel over gold colored metal with gold colored ribbing across the top, hinged at the back so it opens to show a ribbed gold colored interior on both halves. Condition is good with honest wear. The white enamel is chipped and worn in a number of spots along the ribs and edges, letting the gold colored base metal show through. The hinge is intact and working on both earrings, and the ear wires are straight and clean. No maker signature or metal stamp was visible in the photos. Stones are untested and described from visual observation only. Estimated Value: $15 to $30 based on comparable recent sales. Sold as-is. Photos are the most accurate description of this lot.
