Sterling 925 Italy Chain Shell Pendant

Sterling silver chain necklace with a natural scallop shell pendant. The chain is a fine flat serpentine link, bright silver in color, closing with a spring ring clasp. The small oval tag next to the clasp is stamped ITALY on the top line and 925 on the bottom line. 925 means sterling silver, and the ITALY mark shows it was made in Italy. The pendant is a real scallop shell in shades of cream, apricot, and rust red with speckled banding across the ribs, hung from a gold colored wire bail with a single small freshwater pearl seated at the top. Condition is very good. The chain shows light tarnish and a warm tone in places, the clasp works as it should, and the shell is intact with natural surface variation and a small amount of interior staining that is normal on a real shell. Stones are untested and described from visual observation only. Estimated Value: $25 to $50 based on comparable recent sales. Sold as-is. Photos are the most accurate description of this lot.
