Sterling Silver 925 Snake Chain Necklace

Fine sterling silver snake chain necklace. The chain is a round snake link style, made from tightly fitted rings that form a smooth continuous tube, so it feels almost like a cord in the hand and slips easily through a pendant bail. It closes with a lobster claw clasp, and the small flat oval tag next to the clasp is stamped 925, meaning sterling silver at 92.5 percent pure. The smooth outer surface lets a pendant slide and center itself instead of hanging up on individual links. Condition is good. The chain has taken on a warm golden tarnish in places, which is normal for sterling that has been stored a while, and it will clean up bright with a silver cloth. There are no kinks, flat spots, or broken sections visible, and the lobster claw clasp opens and springs shut properly. Estimated Value: $15 to $30 based on comparable recent sales. Sold as-is.
