Liquid Silver 5 Strand 925 Bead Necklace

Five strand liquid silver necklace. Liquid silver is the trade name for very fine sterling silver tube beads strung on flexible cord, and strung by the hundreds the strand moves and pours like liquid metal. This necklace has five separate strands, each strung with hundreds of the small silver tube beads. The strands are gathered at two points with flat spacer bars and accented with clusters of round polished silver beads in graduated sizes, which breaks up the length and gives the piece shape across the front. It closes with a spring ring clasp, and the tab at the clasp is stamped 925, meaning sterling silver at 92.5 percent pure. Liquid silver came out of the Southwest and is associated with Navajo and Santo Domingo silverwork, and a multi strand example takes far more beads and labor than a single strand. Condition is good. There is light tarnish across the beads, all five strands are intact with no breaks or missing beads visible, and the clasp works as it should.
